E-OUTSOURCE ASIA powered by VISEO is seeking an experienced SAP Senior Basis Consultant with a proven track record in managing, implementing, and supporting complex SAP landscapes. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our SAP systems, while leading initiatives to optimize infrastructure and support business operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SAP Basis administration across multiple SAP environments (ECC, S / 4HANA, BW / 4HANA, PI / PO, Solution Manager, etc.).
- Perform system installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, and kernel updates.
- Manage SAP HANA database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and ensure system health, performance, security, and high availability.
- Lead disaster recovery planning, backup, and restore strategies for SAP environments.
- Support multiple customers across different SAP versions and landscapes, ensuring tailored solutions for each environment.
- Provide expertise in handling SAP systems on different operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix, etc.) and databases (HANA, Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, etc.).
- Collaborate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to support project implementations and operations.
- Provide expert guidance on SAP sizing, capacity planning, and system optimization.
- Manage SAP authorizations and security in line with compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues with minimal downtime, ensuring thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and preventive actions are delivered.
- Develop and maintain policies and standard operating procedures (SOP) relating to operation and support of the SAP environment, including change management, backup / restore, disaster recovery, audits, and maintenance of technical documentation (architecture, interfaces, hardware and software assets) in collaboration with the hosting team.
- Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly Basis meetings with customers, third parties, and IT stakeholders to review current activities and plan future Basis activities.
- Propose maintenance plans for approval and maintain the schedule for SAP non-production and production environments.
- Maintain audit logs and records for transports, client systems performance, uptime / downtime, etc.
- Represent the Basis team in client, AMS, or project meetings.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of recurring issues, propose permanent fixes, and communicate findings clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior Basis consultants and provide technical leadership to the team.
Profile / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum 5 years of SAP Basis experience, with hands-on expertise in large and complex SAP landscapes (preferred).Strong knowledge of SAP S / 4HANA, SAP HANA, and cloud deployments (Azure / AWS / GCP).Proven experience in system upgrades, migrations (including OS / DB), and integration scenarios.Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide clear RCA and actionable recommendations.Experience supporting multiple customers across various SAP versions (ECC, S / 4HANA, BW / 4HANA, etc.).Hands-on experience with different operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows) and databases (HANA, Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, etc.).Solid understanding of SAP security, authorization concepts, and GRC.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.SAP certifications in Basis and / or HANA will be an added advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
