Electrical Technician cum Wireman

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, trunking, conduits, panel boards, and fixtures in accordance with Malaysian electrical codes (e.g., MS IEC standards) and safety protocols.
• Lay wires for industrial machinery, control panels, sensors, and power supply systems, ensuring seamless integration with automation setups.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on electrical components in automation equipment, HVAC systems, and building controls to minimize downtime.
• Design & Planning
• Design and optimize electrical routing, circuit layouts, and wiring diagrams for projects in industrial automation and process control.
• Greenfield & brownfield project coordination.
• Assist in planning electrical upgrades, including schematic development and integration with PLCs, DDCs, motors, and sensors to enhance system efficiency.
• Troubleshooting
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions in control panels, motors, and automation systems using testing devices like multimeters, etc.
• Perform repairs or coordinate with specialized contractors, prioritizing quick resolutions to support operational continuity.
• Equipment Monitoring
• Monitor and optimize performance of electrical systems, including motors, control panels, sensors, power supplies, and BMS components.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, logs, and digital documentation for compliance and future reference.
• Safety Compliance
• Ensure all work complies with local regulations (e.g., Energy Commission of Malaysia guidelines), company safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Identify and report hazards, unsafe practices, or equipment issues, promoting a culture of safety aligned with Uvynos's commitment to sustainable operations.
• Technical Support
• Provide on-site technical support during breakdowns, emergencies, facility shutdowns, or new installations in automation projects.
• Collaborate on executing upgrades, such as integrating LED displays or audio-visual systems with electrical infrastructure.
• Documentation
• Read, interpret, and update electrical drawings, blueprints, technical diagrams, and automation schematics.
• Prepare comprehensive maintenance reports, service documentation, and project summaries to support team knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams in a dynamic automation environment.
• Support facility installations, shutdowns, and innovations that drive Uvynos's goals of efficiency and client satisfaction.
