Engineering Manager

Goal of Position

Lead and supervise the application engineering team in country.
Manage local application engineering tasks to support business targets.
Assist the Regional Engineering Manager in building competence of application engineers and sales engineers in the SEA region.
Contribute to Industry 4.0 aspirations to achieve 10% of Schaeffler's AP revenue by 2025 through development and sales of I4.0 portfolio solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, support, and process new I4.0 leads and opportunities to meet / exceed sales targets.

Drive growth and order fulfillment of Industry 4.0 portfolio through direct customer interaction and collaboration with local / regional teams.

Promote Service-based solutions and implement business models focused on I4.0 portfolio.

Develop and onboard new / existing partners (DI / System Integrators / Service Partners).

Manage sales pipeline, prioritize and facilitate sales pursuits.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop value-added solutions.

Industry 4.0

Promote and sell Industry 4.0 solutions and complementary products.

Independently develop market and expand customer base with focus on digital business models.

Maintain Salesforce pipeline and identify opportunities through to realization.

Design technical and financial models tailored to customer needs.

Develop strategic partners under "Certified by Schaeffler" concept.

Prepare quotations, negotiate, and close sales with Sales Team.

Own and manage sales pipeline, forecasts, and partner performance.

Capture market requirements and act as "Voice of Customer".

Collaborate across borders for Industry 4.0 projects and marketing.

Initiate and support promotional activities (webinars, podcasts, roadshows).

Develop and train sales team using case references and benchmarking.

Conduct product training for customers and partners.

Collaborate with System Integrators to create package solutions.

Perform vibration analysis and prepare reports as needed.

Sales & Marketing

Support Sales and Marketing with technical product information.

Monitor industry and competitor trends; report to Industry Sales Manager.

Establish and maintain customer relationships through technical consultancy.

Travel within country and occasionally within SEA region.

Report marketing information to management.

Perform other assignments as requested by Management.

Technical

Lead and supervise local application engineering / field service team.

Provide engineering consultancy to key customers.

Supervise product selection and calculations.

Advise on lubricants, sealing systems, and installation.

Conduct training seminars on products and applications.

Investigate bearing demands and liaise with HQ for product development.

Support Helpdesk and pre-sales technical solutions.

Report technical activities regularly to Management.

Liaise with SEA Technical Office, CoCo AP, and German HQ.

Assist in organizing technical training programs for SEA engineers.

Conduct troubleshooting, generate reports, and present findings to customers.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field).

Minimum 8–10 years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Proven experience in application engineering, field service, or technical consultancy.
