About Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur is a 65-storey mixed-use tower with private residences, serviced apartments, a luxury hotel, and a 250,000 square foot retail podium. The hotel offers dining outlets, an executive lounge, spa, fitness centre, rooftop pool, and a connection to KLCC Park. Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur aims to be a vibrant hub for business and leisure travelers in the Golden Triangle.

Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will provide an urban complement to the existing Four Seasons Resort Langkawi and will offer business travel amenities and luxury guest experiences.

Position

PABX Operator – The PABX Operator is responsible for professionally handling all incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring efficient internal and external communication. The ideal candidate will deliver outstanding guest service in line with the standards of a luxury five-star hotel, while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the hotel’s Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) system to route incoming and outgoing calls.
  • Answer all calls promptly, courteously, and professionally in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Handle wake-up call requests and ensure timely delivery to guests.
  • Relay messages accurately to hotel guests and staff.
  • Coordinate with departments to connect internal calls and ensure smooth communication flow.
  • Monitor emergency lines and follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Provide basic hotel information to callers and transfer to appropriate departments.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of hotel services, events, and promotions.
  • Log all calls, messages, and wake-up calls as required by hotel policy.
  • Assist in maintaining updated telephone directories.
  • Ensure confidentiality of guest information at all times.
  • Perform additional front office or communication-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or communication training is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury or five-star hotel environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a strong advantage.
  • Professional and courteous telephone etiquette.
  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with hotel communication systems (e.g., PABX, Opera, or other PMS).
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Outlook).
  • High level of personal presentation and grooming.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as per business demands and needs.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
