Faculty / Department : De Institute of Creative Arts and Design

UCSI University’s De Institute of Creative Arts and Design, also known as ICAD, offers an inspiring environment to explore visual arts, art history, and art education. The institute provides specialized courses in art, fashion, multimedia, and web design, aimed at equipping students with essential knowledge, creativity, and skills to thrive in the evolving creative industry.

Responsibilities

This role involves dedicated teaching, research, scholarly activities, and contributions to program administration and management.

Teaching Duties and Responsibilities

A Lecturer in the Digital Media department will be responsible for teaching :

  • Courses within the 3D Animation Design, Games Design, and Multimedia programs.
  • Related courses in other programs sharing courses with the Digital Media department.
  • Postgraduate courses, if qualified, and supervision of postgraduate students.

Research, Publications, and Engagement

  • Contributing to a vibrant research environment and enhancing the department's research profile.
  • Developing research, consultancy, and scholarly activities to boost the department's academic reputation and support staff development.
  • Encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration within the department and university.
  • Achieving research, publication, networking, and other goals aligned with QS / MyRA standards.

    • Requirements

  • PhD in a related field with relevant industry experience.
  • 3-5 years of teaching experience.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
