The new Business Excellence Center (BEC), operating under Jungheinrich Business Excellence Center Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., will serve as a strategic hub for delivering high-quality business and IT services to various corporate divisions across the Jungheinrich Group, particularly in the APAC region (excluding China). The BEC supports the Group’s internationalization strategy and cost-efficiency goals, with a vision to scale from FTE by 2030.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and agile General Manager to lead the setup and growth of this greenfield GBS center in Kuala Lumpur. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of shared services for the APAC region, covering countries such as Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Malaysia. The General Manager will be responsible for building the organization from the ground up, establishing a strong excellence culture, and ensuring alignment with Jungheinrich’s global strategy and governance.
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the BEC in Malaysia, ensuring alignment with global policies, governance, and strategic direction.
- Build and manage a high-performing team across IT, HR, Finance, and other business excellence functions.
- Drive operational excellence and scalable service delivery to internal customers across the APAC region.
- Lead the ramp-up plan to reach 80 FTE by 2026 and 290 FTE by 2030.
- Facilitate the growth and strategic direction of the local business, even without deep functional expertise in all service areas.
- Collaborate closely with global and regional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with Jungheinrich’s structured and policy-driven culture.
- Champion change management and support the company’s transformation journey towards 2030+.
- Ensure compliance with group-level governance, reporting structures, and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of agility, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the BEC.
Qualifications
10–15 years of experience in shared services, operations, or business transformation roles.Proven ability to build and scale new functions or teams, ideally in a multinational or structured corporate environment.Strong understanding of corporate governance, policies, and compliance frameworks.Agile mindset with the ability to adapt to change and drive transformation.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across cultures and geographies.Passionate about brand alignment and contributing to a long-term strategic vision.Experience in APAC markets is highly desirable.Does not require deep expertise in all functional areas (IT, HR, Finance), but must be capable of leading and enabling their growth.#J-18808-Ljbffr
