Job Description :
We are seeking a R&D officer with a proactive and responsible attitude to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for leading projects in cake & pastries product development, ensuring high food quality and safety standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. R&D officer requires a strong understanding of food science, technology, and industry trends, along with the ability to drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage food product development projects from concept to commercialization.
- Conduct research and experiments to improve existing products or develop improved / upgrade version, etc.
- Analyze and interpret data from experiments and trials, and make recommendations based on findings.
- Sensitve with industry trends, regulations, and consumer preferences to guide product development strategies.
- Produce sample products for internal customers to evaluate and meeting requirements / expectations.
- Coordinate commercial trials together with productions, QA, retail and marketing teams to ensure smooth trial runs.
- Optimize processes and formulations to enhance product quality, cost-effectiveness, and production efficiency.
- Prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products.
- Collaborate with supplier on new product ideas, quality improvements, and ingredients sourcing.
- Act as a technical advisor and mentor junior food technologists and team members.
- Independently managing projects and report status to superior, undertake assigned tasks to support R&D department's objectives.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.Proven experience in food product development and food technology.Strong knowledge of food chemistry, sensory evaluation, and food processing techniques.Experience with food regulations and quality standards (e.g., KKM, Halal, GMP, MeSTI, etc).Good project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.
