Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic
Assistant Human Resources Manager
to serve as a strong HR Business Partner to the Managing Director and Line Managers in
Malaysia and Bangladesh
- . This role is responsible for the
full HR spectrum in Malaysia
and provides
remote HR support to Bangladesh
, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance with labor laws, and fostering a high-performance, continuous learning culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Business Partnering
Partner with senior leaders to enable business initiatives and build a high-performing, people-focused culture.Provide consultation on HR strategies, workforce planning, and organizational development.Talent Acquisition & Employee Lifecycle
Champion employer branding through social media and partnerships with universities, industry associations, and networks.Deliver end-to-end recruitment, ensuring excellence in candidate experience and alignment with business needs.Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with local labor laws.Compensation, Benefits & Engagement
Administer employee benefits and manage third-party vendors (e.g., insurance, payroll).Handle payroll processing and statutory submissions in collaboration with outsourced vendors.Support annual salary and bonus review processes with the Managing Director and Regional HR Director.Drive employee engagement through communications, activities, and corporate events.Performance Management
Coach and guide managers and employees on the performance review process.Ensure goal setting and evaluation adhere to SMART objectives and company guidelines.Learning & Development
Identify and address employee development needs with line managers.Manage training administration, including course enrolment, vendor selection, records maintenance, and regional / global training nominations.International Assignments & Mobility
Oversee relocation, immigration, housing, and taxation matters for foreign hires and international assignees.Ensure compliance with regional policies and guidelines on expatriate and foreign hire management.HR Operations & Projects
Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems (SAP).Update organizational charts, support manpower and cost forecasting, and participate in annual budgeting.Lead and support HR projects, process improvements, and policy reviews.Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
High integrity with discretion in handling confidential information.Strong HR business partnering mindset with the ability to align HR strategies to business objectives.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.IT-savvy and proficient with HR systems (SAP preferred).Willingness to travel when required.Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory
Bachelor's degree inHuman Resources Management
or
Business Administration
Minimum8 years of HR generalist experience
across recruitment, C&B, performance management, learning & development, payroll, labor law, and employee relations.
Strong knowledge ofMalaysia labor law
; working knowledge of
Bangladesh labor law
is an advantage.
Desirable
Experience in multinational companies.Familiarity with commercial HR software and systems.
