Overview
Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading a successful sales team in achieving the company’s sales targets, generating revenue and improving profitability for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Motivate and engage the sales team to ensure all work as a team
- Unite the team, set a good example for the team using good communication and deliver results effectively
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and monitor changes
- Provide business expertise when setting and reviewing pricing and discount rates
- Determine sales targets, performance objectives and standards for sales team
- Devise strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets
- Track sales performance and ensure each team member is delivering desired results
- Map potential customers and generate leads or new opportunities
- Connect and maintain relationship with clients / associates and network with industry stakeholders
- Ensure sales department work well cross functionally with other departments
- Plan and implement training programs, holding regular sessions with internal or external trainers
- Recruit, select, onboard and train / coach new sales account managers
