Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) : Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. Monitor and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance. Provide business insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
Accounting & Reporting : Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., MFRS / IFRS) and regulatory requirements. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements. Manage cash flow, working capital, and expense control.
Revenue & Project Finance : Handle revenue recognition for software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, and professional services. Track project costing, margins, and profitability of IT / software projects. Review client contracts to ensure proper financial terms (payment milestones, credit terms, tax implications).
Taxation & Compliance : Ensure timely submission of corporate tax, SST, and other statutory filings. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities. Maintain compliance with financial laws, regulations, and internal policies. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets. Assess financial risks and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with company procurement, vendor, and expense policies.
Team & Stakeholder Management : Lead and mentor the finance team (executives, accountants). Collaborate with department heads (Sales, Procurement, HR, IT) to support business needs. Provide financial updates to senior management and C-levels.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Professional certification such as ACCA / CPA / CIMA is an advantage).
At least 5–8 years of relevant experience, with 2–3 years in managerial capacity.
Strong knowledge of IT / software / SaaS industry financial practices.
Proficient in accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and strong leadership skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
