About the role : As an Account Assistant at Georgetown City Hotel Penang, you will play a vital role in supporting the hotel's finance team. This full-time position is based in George Town, Penang and offers an opportunity to develop your skills in bookkeeping and accounting within the dynamic hospitality industry.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements
- Reconciling bank statements and various accounts
- Processing invoices, expense claims and other financial transactions
- Providing administrative support to the finance team as needed
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and procedures
What we\'re looking for
Relevant diploma or degree in accounting, finance or a related field1-2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the hospitality industryStrong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processingProficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practicesWhat we offer
