We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Architect who can manage our internal IT systems while also designing secure and scalable architectures for client solutions. This hybrid role combines system administration with infrastructure and security architecture, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies and cloud environments, and will be based in Malaysia.
You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems, while also contributing to the design of secure architectures that support our consulting and service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
- Manage and maintain company IT infrastructure including Windows / Linux servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure resources.
- Monitor system performance, implement patches / updates, and ensure regular backups.
- Respond to incidents and troubleshoot system-related issues.
Cloud & Security Architecture
Design and implement secure cloud infrastructures (Azure and hybrid environments).Apply security best practices such as Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, and compliance standards.Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise security solutions, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), and related security tools.Define secure configurations and review solution designs for internal and client projects.Collaborate with project teams to design resilient, cost-optimized IT architectures.Provide technical expertise in pre-sales discussions and support proposals with architecture input.Guide internal teams on security hardening, cloud adoption, and scalability.Research and recommend emerging technologies aligned with company services.Automate and streamline infrastructure management using IaC (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, etc.).Maintain documentation of standards, policies, and best practices.Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of IT infrastructure / system admin experience, including at least 2-3 years in cloud or security-focused roles.Proven experience with Microsoft ecosystem technologies : Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender.Hands‑on experience deploying and managing security solutions such as DLP and EDR.Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).Solid grasp of networking and security fundamentals (firewalls, VPN, IDS / IPS).Preferred / Nice to Have
7-10 years of progressive IT infrastructure / system admin with at least 3 years in an architectural or security-focused role.Certifications such as :Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect ExpertMicrosoft Certified : Cybersecurity Architect ExpertExperience in consulting, pre‑sales, or client‑facing technical roles.Soft Skills
