The Production Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient and cost effective operation of the biodiesel production plant. This includes overseeing all shifts, managing the production team, optimising the manufacturing process while ensuring that production volume, quality and yield targets are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with a deep technical understanding of biodiesel or oleochemical processes in a manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and manage all daily production activities to meet production schedules, volume targets and product quality specifications.
- Oversee entire biodiesel process, including feedstock pretreatment, transesterification and glycerol by-product recovery.
- Monitor production yield, conversion efficiency, utility consumption and plant availability.
- Understanding of different feedstocks (e.g., UCO, POME, waste oils) and their impact on the process and final product.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Ensure optimisation of equipment, manpower and resources.
Requirements
Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.Minimum 8 years of experience in palm oil downstream operation with at least 5 years in managerial role.Experience in biodiesel plant, oleochemical facility, oil refinery or chemical plant.Familiar with production planning, cost control and sustainability certification systems.#J-18808-Ljbffr
