Job Purpose This role is responsible for assessing global applications and processes for compliance with data protection, privacy, and AI regulations, following Express and DHL Group standards. You will act as a privacy expert for application and process architects, as well as regional and local Data Protection Officers (DPOs). Compliance will be achieved through the internal DPR / PIA process, as part of the Privacy Center of Excellence (CoE). The role location is either Cyberjaya, Malaysia; Bonn, Germany; Diegem, Belgium; or Singapore. How will you contribute to the success of DHL? Analyze and verify compliance of processing activities through the Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) process. Create and maintain PIAs and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for high-risk processing activities. Support local and regional DPOs on data protection, privacy, and AI-related challenges. Develop and maintain training materials on data protection and privacy. Monitor privacy risk management and track corrective actions. Assist in negotiations with Data Protection Authorities at the global, regional, and country level. Provide support in case of data breaches. Apply expertise in data protection and privacy legislation to ensure legally required documentation levels are met. Do you have what it takes? Degree in Law. At least 3 years of experience providing legal advice. At least 3 years of experience with data protection and privacy legislation. Previous experience as a DPO or Assistant DPO (3+ years) is an advantage. DPO certification (or willingness to obtain). AI Compliance certification (or willingness to obtain). Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills. Additional languages are considered an advantage.
