About The Role
As a HR Manager – Asia in our Kuala Lumpur (Kepong) office, you will have the opportunity to play a role in implementing, supervising and maintaining HR targets, strategies and processes to ensure compliance with global policies. This position executes operational HR activities, provides expert advice, guidance and coaching to line managers and oversees HR processes and strategies.
This is an individual contributor role offered on a 1-year fixed-term contract , with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting and driving the full spectrum of Human Resources functions across Malaysia and other Asian Countries as required;
- Ensure HR policies and processes are compliant with local labor laws across Asian countries;
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for Malaysia and other Asian countries;
- Ensure timely and accurate salary payments, deductions, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, etc.);
- Responsible for offering coaching, advice and guidance to line managers to actively raise their understanding of and expertise in people management and HR issues;
- Talent Management / People Development : Design and implement the personnel development process;
- People Management : Personnel support from joining to resignation;
- Organize and conduct appraisal interviews;
- Ensure all labor law obligations and regulations are met;
- Ensure observation of global HR policy, strategies and concepts;
- Support personnel and management in HR matters;
- Perform operative / administrative HR activities;
- Direct labor leasing;
- Implement standard procedures in the HR department;
- Serve as contact person for all issues pertaining to HR;
- Conduct strategic and operative HR projects;
- Create reports for the HR sector and calculate sectoral KPIs;
- Implement measures to continuously improve HR processes in close coordination with adjoining departments;
About You
MANDARIN CHINESE SPEAKING & READING ABILITY IS A MUST as there will be daily liaison with stakeholders from the Mainland China;Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;Minimum 7 years of HR experience, including some years in a Managerial or HRBP role would be added advantage;Experience with HRIS systems Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar;Good knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices;Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations;Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with employees at all levels;Able to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism;Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.What We Offer
