Test Manager
Role Overview
The Test Manager is responsible for leading the testing and quality assurance efforts within the telecommunications domain . This role ensures that all telco applications, systems, and integrations — spanning BSS, OSS, enterprise IT, and consumer digital channels — meet quality standards, functional requirements, and performance expectations before release.
The Test Manager will oversee test strategy, execution, automation, and team leadership while collaborating with business, IT, and network teams to minimize defects, improve time‑to‑market, ensure delivery quality, enhance customer experience and system end‑to‑end.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
- Define, maintain, and enforce testing standards, processes, and documentation under TQA governance.
- Define and implement the overall test strategy for telco systems , including manual and automated testing approaches.
- Oversee test plans, scope, schedules, and resource allocation in alignment with CR, SR and project timelines.
- Select and manage telco-focused testing tools, frameworks, and environments (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, LoadRunner, HP ALM).
- Ensure test deliverables meet defined quality benchmarks before production deployment.
Test Execution & Quality Assurance
Oversee functional, regression, performance, security, integration, and support other testing phases for :Consumer Business (Prepaid / Postpaid journeys, Provisioning, Billing, Mobile Apps, Self‑care portals, Assistant portals, Case Management, etc.).Enterprise Business / IT (Prepaid / Postpaid journeys, Provisioning, Billing, Mobile Apps, Self‑care portals, Assistant portals, Case Management, etc).Enterprise IT (Project Management, Procurement, Inventory, Settlement, Accounting, E‑Invoice, Mediation, ERP, Reporting, Integrations, etc).BSS / OSS systems (CRM, Order Management, Billing, Service Assurance, Network provisioning, etc.).Ensure adequate test coverage across business‑critical telco workflows .Lead defect management, including prioritization, triage, tracking, and resolution.Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational quality goals.Test Automation & CI / CD Integration
Identify areas for process automation, optimization, and risk reduction within TQA operations.Drive test automation initiatives for telco applications and integrations to improve efficiency and coverage.Maintain and optimize automated test scripts (Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter, Cypress).Integrate testing into CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers, testers, and automation specialists.Collaborate with development, product, network, and business teams to align testing with telco project goals.Provide test status reports and quality metrics to senior management and stakeholders.Process Improvement & Compliance
Establish and enforce QA best practices (shift‑left testing, risk‑based testing).Continuously improve testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Ensure compliance with telco industry standards and regulations (ISO, PDPA, ITIL, revenue assurance requirements).Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.7–10 years in software testing , with 3+ years in a Test Manager or Lead role .Prefer have proven experience in the telecommunications domain.Strong background in BAU or Production testing within test or operations environments.In‑depth understanding of SDLC, STLC, release, and change management.Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, TestRail) and automation platforms.Strong understanding of BSS / OSS systems, Enterprise IT, Consumer and Enterprise business workflows in telco .Experience in Agile / Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both technical and business).Problem‑solving and analytical thinking with a focus on customer experience and SLA‑driven quality.#J-18808-Ljbffr
