Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)

Location : Sunfert International Fertility Centre Bangsar South

Responsibilities

• Acquire and demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out laboratory diagnostic testing, protocols, and Andrology services, including but not limited to :
• Perform venepuncture / blood taking for patients.
• Process investigative reports, including flagging abnormal results for doctors’ attention, scanning reports into Medex, and informing patients of results as per doctors’ instructions.
• Assist in updating the ART register.
• Perform andrology procedures such as semen analysis, IUI sperm preparation, and cryopreservation of sperm.
• Potentially perform selected embryology procedures in the future.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure cleanliness of the lab.
• Actively participate in Quality Improvement Programs to ensure laboratory testing is accurate, timely, and meets customer needs.
• Keep accurate records of all procedures and specimens.
• Provide patient counselling and education on relevant health issues.
• Maintain excellent patient care and feedback mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with high standard operating protocols.
• Participate and contribute to marketing and expansion activities of the centre as required.
• Be in-charge of or assist in projects as assigned by the Medical Director.
• Assist colleagues and perform any other duties assigned by the Medical Director or management.
