About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Content Editor to join our dynamic team at KELANG LEATHER INDUSTRIES SDN.BHD. in Kuala Lumpur. As a full-time Content Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the content and editorial direction of our publications, ensuring we deliver engaging and informative material to our valued readers.

What you'll be doing

  • Reviewing and editing submitted content to ensure it meets our high standards for quality, accuracy, and tone
  • Collaborating with writers and subject matter experts to develop and refine content ideas
  • Managing the editorial calendar and coordinating the publication process
  • Providing feedback and guidance to writers to help them improve their skills
  • Researching and identifying new content opportunities to keep our publications fresh and relevant
  • Ensuring all content adheres to our brand guidelines and editorial style
  • Proofreading and fact-checking content before publication

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a content editor or in a similar role within the advertising, arts, or media industry
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for crafting engaging content
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with writers, designers, and other stakeholders
  • A solid understanding of editorial best practices, SEO, and content strategy
  • Familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing tools
  • A degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred
