Job Description

  • Strategic Financial Leadership :
  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives in Malaysia.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and insights to the CEO and executive team on key decisions.
  • Lead the development of long-term financial plans, funding strategies, capital allocation, and profitability targets for Malaysian operations.
  • Analyze market trends, economic conditions, and competitor activities to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) :
  • Oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans for Malaysia.
  • Lead the FP&A team to deliver timely and insightful financial reports.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and track KPIs relevant to the Malaysian industry.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance :
  • Ensure accurate financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Manage tax planning and compliance, ensuring adherence to local tax laws.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators.
  • Treasury & Risk Management :
  • Oversee treasury functions including cash management, banking, and FX risk management.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies relevant to Malaysia.
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage for assets and liabilities.
  • Internal Controls & Governance :
  • Establish internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Development :
  • Lead and develop the finance team in Malaysia, fostering a high-performance environment.
  • Set performance expectations and support professional growth.
  • Stakeholder Management :
  • Build relationships with banks, investors, and regulators.
  • Represent the finance function to the executive team and board.

    • The Successful Applicant

  • 10-15 years' experience, leading a team of at least 5.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Visionary, proactive, and willing to take calculated risks.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on business growth, cost savings, and process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards.
  • Excellent reporting and organizational skills.

    Attractive package of RM 30,000 - RM 40,000 monthly.
