Data Engineer

Evoloper Sdn. Bhd. is a research & development company, incorporated in July 2015. We are a team of very experienced developers providing cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) point of sales solutions, focusing on F&B and retail industries. Role and Responsibilities :

Responsible for researching the best approach to create / improve data practices in data pipeline, business intelligence and machine learning solutions. Initiate and participate in projects in the area of prediction, optimization, and processes using advanced statistical / mathematical approaches. This includes designing, development, testing and deployment of the applications. Subject matter support on providing architecture design guidance and select the most suitable data visualization for big data analysis or BI applications. Responsible to evaluate and associate the business KPIs improvement as the result delivered by solutions. Develop quality solutions from the perspective of stakeholders to obtain buy-in and retain customer loyalty. Candidate Requirements :

Must possess strong passion in interrogating data and high expectation on intensive data wrangling and cleansing activities Experience in statistical modelling, machine learning, or data mining practice. Have a deep understanding of large data, data structures, and manipulate data in an efficient manner. Experience in SQL, relational databases, database concepts, dimensional modelling and database design. Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability. Ability to communicate and delivery insight clearly to peers and stakeholders alike. Knowledge in parallel computing framework / tool such as Spark, Databrick will be added advantage. Experience in Azure Cloud Environment tools are most preferable, but AWS / GCP are also favourable. Experience in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio etc. Power BI is most relevant Knowledge of Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse in Retail / F&B is preferable. Data modelling, engineering experience in language Python, Scala. At least 2 – 3 years of experience in quantitative analytics, data modelling or data engineering. A team player, committed and able to work independently. Good communication skills in English both written and oral. Having Mandarin proficiency will be added advantage. Benefits & Others :
