JRC is a leading Malaysia-based ESG guidance and advisory firm that supports public listed companies in developing sustainability strategies, climate risk assessments, ESG KPIs and targets, risk assessment and framework development, as well as comprehensive sustainability reporting. As a member of the IFRS Sustainability Alliance and an IFRS-certified training partner for Integrated Reporting, JRC is at the forefront of helping Malaysian companies implement IFRS S1 and S2 sustainability and climate‑related risk and opportunity disclosures and develop award‑winning integrated reports.

We are looking for self‑motivated, competent and knowledgeable sustainability consultants to join our team on a full‑time, remote basis.

Experience and knowledge of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 would be an asset. Talents with 2–5 years of relevant experience would likely be a suitable fit for this position. However, applicants with other professional qualifications who have a strong understanding of ESG and sustainability are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop reporting disclosures in accordance with ISSB and SASB standards.
• Prepare and draft sustainability reports, corporate policies, strategies, ESG targets and implementation roadmaps based on ESG findings and data, aligned with relevant local and international sustainability reporting frameworks and strategies.
• Integrate ESG‑related financial metrics and disclosures into companies’ sustainability reporting approaches and systems, including disclosure within annual reports and integrated reports.
• Quantify sustainability‑related risks and opportunities in current and anticipated effects on financial performance and position, leveraging JRC methodologies in line with IFRS S1 and S2.
• Prepare ESG data templates in alignment with Bursa, GRI, FTSE, TCFD & SASB, ISSB (IFRS S1 & S2) requirements.
• Tabulate ESG data received (including GHG emissions calculations) and critically review and evaluate the data to interpret its significance.
• Present ESG findings, strategies, roadmaps and policies to the Board and Management of public listed companies.
• Collaborate with internal, external and client teams to ensure alignment of expectations, timelines and strategic direction.
• Undertake broader functions such as preparing and participating in presentations, client trainings and workshop facilitation, and developing questionnaires.
