Summary
The Signal and Power Integrity Engineer will play a critical role in the planning of digital PCB designs, simulation, lab verification, and troubleshooting signal integrity issues on completed designs. They will also be expected to help with design review of critical PCBs for signal integrity concerns. Good communications skills and ability to work with global teams is required.
Details
- Develop SI and PI design for server / storage / communication products.
- Major works include serving as the signal and power integrity analyst and designer, providing support to internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Responsibilities include PCB material selection, stack-up definition, 3D passive channel modeling, signal integrity analysis, power integrity analysis, PCB layout rule generation, and collaboration with ASIC and PCB design teams.
- Experience with electromagnetic tools, signal integrity analysis, and relevant specifications is preferred.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience with PCB post-route SI tools (e.g., Cadence SPECCTRAQuest, Mentor ICX, SiSoft SI-Auditor, Sigrity Power SI).Knowledge of circuit simulation tools (e.g., Synopsys HSPICE, Keysight ADS).Experience with 3-D field solvers (e.g., CST Microwave Studio, ANSYS HFSS).Familiarity with TDR and VNA measurements, electromagnetic theory, and high-speed design.Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred), with 4+ to 6+ years of relevant experience.Proficiency in scripting languages (VB, Perl, Python) and Matlab.Strong communication skills in English.Physical Demands & Experience
