Responsibilities

  • Programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce complex parts to exact specifications.
  • Create and optimize CNC programs using MasterCAM software.
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models.
  • Determine tooling, cutting paths, feeds, and speeds based on material and part geometry.
  • Maintain and document programs and revisions in accordance with company procedures.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor 3 & 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-precision components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues related to tooling, materials, or programming.
  • Build cross-functional teams for quality initiatives and corrective actions.
  • Adjust offsets, tool wear, and feeds / speeds as needed to maintain quality standards.

Competency Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in any field.
  • At least 5-8 years experience working in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, such as GD&T.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • 5-axis CNC programming experience will be an advantage.
