Overview

Occupational Therapist — IHT Rehab WP. Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress patients' care, incorporating risk assessment, to maximize functional independence and rehabilitation potential.
  • Communicate with patients and carers to positively develop therapeutic relationships.
  • Coordinate and prioritise workloads; multi-tasking, self-discipline and motivation.
  • Use specialist equipment for day-to-day care with specific patients (e.g., communication aids, special seating, standing frames).
  • Collate and maintain Occupational Therapy inventory records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Working experience in a hospital or rehab centre setup in a Return-to-Work Programme preferred.
  • Experience with patients across neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and orthopaedic conditions.
  • Pleasant and mature personality with excellent interpersonal, networking and organizational skills.
