Key Accountabilities
- Administration : Ensure day-to-day operations of Private Mandates and Unit Trust (backup) back office functions run smoothly; manage team members for Mandates; update HOD on issues and BAU matters; engage with service providers to ensure smooth BAU processes; monitor KPIs per SLA; ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures; assist HOD in annual due diligence from custodians and others; be the key contact point for all mandates’ custodians.
Team Management
Provide coaching to team members to ensure consistent good performance; assist in resolving issues and escalate when necessary.Operating Procedures
Assist HOD in regular reviews of operating guidelines to meet process and business direction; take prompt actions to resolve high-risk issues; assist HOD with regular SLA reviews with counterparties including fund accounting providers; ensure documentation quality in line with internal standards, policies and guidelines.Project Management
Participate in regional projects for the local business unit; assist HOD / COO to achieve timely project completion within budget; engage with local and regional counterparts, brokers and the regional office.Ad-hoc
Assist HOD to review and update quarterly Risk Register; identify and recommend process enhancements; review and approve User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by team members; assist HOD with annual diligence on third parties or service providers.Experience / Qualifications
Education
Bachelor or Professional Degree in finance, accounting, banking, investment, economics or equivalent.International accounting qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, etc.) or working towards designation is advantageous.Experience
At least 6 years in financial services (fund accounting, asset management, insurance or banking).At least 3 years in supervisory / managerial role.Special Business Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of financial instruments and investment products; accounting standards and controls environment; experience with fund accounting operations and systems (e.g., Aladdin, Multi-Fond, MFund).Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.Others
Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills; independent with good work ethics; adaptable in a dynamic environment; detail-oriented; able to meet deadlines under pressure; mentoring and coaching skills.Eastspring is an equal opportunity employer.
