To execute all planned & corrective maintenance works for electrical & automation-related field equipment such as PLCs and drives. Continuously ensure that there is no interruption to the service offered by each equipment to operations, using the best technical means possible.
- Responsible for sustaining equipment performance by executing and monitoring maintenance activities.
- Supervise preventive maintenance by executing and monitoring onsite maintenance works, ensuring compliance with the planned / corrective maintenance program.
- Ensure all PLCs are password protected.
- Perform root cause analysis for PLCs, drives, and LV electrical systems to address repeated faults and ensure equipment reliability.
- Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring and enforcing all HSSE requirements during work activities.
- Keep records of all bypass lists in the crane system and ensure clearance of bypasses.
- Implement technical improvement modifications, including hardware / software changes as per management requirements and proposing design modifications for more reliable performance.
- Supervise and lead planned maintenance or repair works carried out by technicians, contractors, or OEMs, ensuring adherence to schedule, procedures, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with planners to review the effectiveness of the maintenance plan, tracking planned versus actual work and backlogs.
- Ensure the reliability of QC / RTG / spreader by monitoring project milestones, analyzing breakdown reports, and rectifying issues during maintenance.
- Provide on-the-job training for technicians as needed.
- Verify maintenance checklists prepared by technicians.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors to achieve departmental objectives, including preparing warranty claim reports and evaluating PMDS for subordinates.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Electronic, Automation, or relevant fields, with 3 to 5 years of experience in container port equipment maintenance.Knowledge and experience in port equipment maintenance.3-5 years of technical experience in port equipment maintenance, with expertise in PLCs (software & hardware), drives, and field equipment.High level of analytical skills, strong reporting skills, resourcefulness, and good organization.Accurate, able to work independently, adaptable to changing priorities, and takes ownership of work.Ability to produce high volumes of relevant work, sustain activity levels, and work long hours when necessary with a professional approach.Ability to respond to superiors' priorities, maintain confidentiality, and keep superiors informed.Possess initiative, strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and good reporting capabilities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
