Title : Senior Auditor - Not-for-Profit & Trust Accounts (Australia)

Location : Remote

Role Type : Part-Time, flexible (20 hrs per week, with potential to increase)

Salary Range : A$15.50-$25.00 per hour, based on experience

Role Responsibilities

Lead external audits of NFPs and trust accounts under relevant Australian laws and frameworks. Manage planning, fieldwork, and reporting for clients such as charities, community organizations, legal practitioners, and motor vehicle dealers. Deliver clear audit opinions, management letters, and recommendations aligned with Australian Auditing Standards. Advise clients on internal controls, risk management, and accounting issues.

Requirements

• At least five years' experience in external audits, including NFP and trust accounts
• Proficient in audit software (e.g., CaseWare), advanced Excel, and financial reporting tools
• Strong knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards, AASB frameworks, and NFP compliance
• Experience testing controls over payroll (SCHADS Award), procurement, revenue recognition (AASB 15 / 1058), and grants
• Excellent communication skills in English for report writing, client interaction, and presentations
• Reliable internet, suitable laptop / desktop, quiet workspace, quality microphone / headset
