Overview

We are seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee and strengthen our financial management, governance, and financial planning functions. The position acts as crucial intermediary between the CFO and the Heads of Sections / Units.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial accounting, project accounting, financial and stakeholder reporting including regulatory water sector reporting, while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Manage treasury and cash receipting, ensure proper cash flow and liquidity management.
  • Manage corporate and indirect taxation, ensuring proper tax planning and compliance.
  • Drive medium to long-term financial projections, annual budgeting, spending control, financial analysis, and business performance reviews.
  • Provide financial and business advisory, including feasibility studies, due diligence, business valuation and loan restructuring.
  • Oversee financial risk management, governance and internal controls to safeguard company assets and stakeholder interests.
  • Optimize cost structures, financial operations, and process efficiency through automation initiatives.
  • Maintain, update and implement financial SOPs including Limits of Authority.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Finance team in alignment with company goals and financial objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and MIA membership. Big 4 or mid-tier trained preferred.
  • At least 10 years of managerial experience in financial reporting, treasury, taxation, costing, budgeting, financial planning & analysis, financial modelling and valuation.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Attention to details, good business acumen and comfortable to work in cross departmental environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP and RPA experience an advantage.
  • Experience in the water and sewerage industry will be an added advantage.
