Safety and Health Officer

Plan, assign, and supervise safety activities to meet requirements.

Ensure all work complies with OSHA Act 1994, CIDB standards, and company safety policies.

Develop, implement, and maintain health & safety policies, procedures, and programs for site and PC factory.

Conduct health & safety induction training for all employees as required.

Oversee safety management systems and ensure compliance by all workers.

Schedule, organize, and lead Health & Safety committee meetings for site and PC factory.

Investigate accidents or near-miss incidents, prepare reports, and submit to head office.

Recommend corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence of accidents.

Coordinate, monitor, and conduct safety training across all sites, promoting safety awareness.

Advise management on updates or changes in health & safety legislation.

Promote injury prevention and damage control practices.

Keep updated with codes of practice and circulate new health & safety information to employees.

Prepare and submit documents such as safe work method statements, mitigation plans, logistic plans, and risk assessments.

Conduct Safety Toolbox Meetings before work begins to ensure hazard awareness.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Key Qualifications :

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Safety & Health Officer in the construction / manufacturing industry.

Valid Green Book certification issued by DOSH (Malaysia).

Knowledge in lifting activities and procedure, with a good understanding of safety management system and regulatory requirements

Independent, proactive, and able to work with all levels of personnel

Able to read, write and speak in Mandarin is an added advantage.
