Overview

Regional Head of Product and Merchandising, APAC (Retail)

Our global retail brand is seeking a highly strategic and proven leader to take on the role of Regional Head of Product and Merchandising, APAC. You will be directly responsible for shaping the entire product lifecycle, from concept and development to market entry and consumer experience across the Asia-Pacific region.

This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in strategic planning, a history of successful collaboration with regional HQs, and a track record of driving significant business growth through innovative product and merchandising execution.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven Strategic Acumen : Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Merchandising, or Strategy roles within a prominent retail or consumer goods brand.
  • Regional Expertise : Demonstrable track record of managing regional distribution and product strategies across multiple markets in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
  • Headquarters / Strategic Experience : Experience that includes working directly with, or operating within, a Regional or Global HQ environment on strategic product development and distribution initiatives.
  • Analytical & Commercial : Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable commercial strategies.
  • Leadership : Strong ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with diverse, cross-cultural teams at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional Product Strategy & Planning : Develop and execute the overarching APAC product strategy, ensuring alignment with global brand vision while optimizing for local market nuances, consumer demand, and competitive landscape.
  • Strategic Distribution : Oversee and optimize the regional distribution network, working closely with logistics and operations to ensure effective, timely, and cost-efficient product flow to all markets.
  • Product Positioning & Go-to-Market : Lead the positioning and pricing strategies for new and existing collections. Drive the regional Go-to-Market calendar, ensuring compelling narratives and commercial viability.
  • Merchandising Strategy : Define the seasonal and annual merchandising strategy, including assortment planning, inventory targets, and in-store / online visual merchandising guidelines, to maximize sell-through and profitability.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership : Serve as the critical bridge between global Product Development, regional Commercial Teams, and local Market Leaders, translating strategic intent into operational excellence.
  • Performance & Insights : Monitor product performance and market trends to provide data-driven recommendations that inform future product development cycles.
