Role Overview :

As a Programme Trainer (Pengajar) at our accredited training center, you will deliver high-quality vocational and technical training. You will teach theoretical concepts, prepare trainees for industry training, and ensure effective workplace training within the National Dual Training System (SLDN) or other JPK schemes.

Key Responsibilities :

Training Delivery

  • Conduct classroom and practical sessions based on the NOSS, SLDN curriculum, and training modules. Written Instructional Manuals (WIMs) and training modules.
  • Use effective teaching methods and tools to help trainees understand theoretical concepts and apply them practically.
  • Ensure training aligns with industry standards, enhancing trainee employability.
  • Prepare, compile, and organize Written Instructional Materials (WIM), manuals, and assessment tools for SLDN / JPK training schemes.
  • Manage trainee timetables according to intake schedules.

Workplace Training Coordination

  • Collaborate with industry partners to coordinate and monitor workplace training under the SLDN / JPK scheme.
  • Guide industry coaches to ensure trainees receive structured on-the-job training.
  • Conduct regular workplace visits to assess training progress and compliance with SLDN objectives.
  • Assessment and Evaluation

  • Evaluate trainees through practical exams, assignments, and workplace assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback, helping trainees improve skills and performance.
  • Ensure assessments comply with SLDN standards.
  • Curriculum Development and Adaptation

  • Assist in creating and adapting training materials and lesson plans according to SLDN / JPK guidelines and industry standards.
  • Incorporate industry trends and new technologies into the curriculum.
  • Trainee Support and Mentoring

  • Offer individual support and mentoring, guiding trainees in understanding materials, preparing for assessments, and excelling in workplace training.
  • Provide career advice and professional development support.
  • Compliance and Documentation

  • Register as a Trainer / Pengajar with Pusat Latihan Kerjaya Sdn Bhd under the MYSPIKE system (JPK).
  • Maintain accurate records of trainee attendance, performance, and assessments.
  • Ensure training and documentation comply with JPK and SLDN requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports on trainee progress and program effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with other trainers, coaches, and coordinators to improve training methods.
  • Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programs to stay informed on best practices.
  • Health and Safety

  • Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment during practical sessions.
  • Educate trainees on health and safety regulations within the training center and at workplace sites.
  • Qualification & Requirements

    Education :

  • Minimum qualification of a diploma or higher in the relevant technical or vocational field.
  • Certification in vocational training or teaching is advantageous.
  • Experience :

  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in a relevant field (Physiotherapy or Electronic or Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing or Programming / IT).
  • Experience as a trainer or VTO under the JPK scheme is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge :

  • Familiarity with the National Dual Training System (SLDN) and JPK requirements.
  • Strong understanding of industry-specific practices, tools, and standards.
  • Skills :

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage and motivate trainees.
  • Ability to teach theoretical knowledge and prepare apprentices for practical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic proficiency in using computers and technical training tools.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Additional Requirements

    Certification :

  • Relevant professional certifications and, if applicable, certification as an SLDN Trainer by JPK.
  • Ability to register under JPK's MYSPIKE as a coordinator.
  • Professional Development :

  • Willingness to participate in continuous learning and development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and training methodologies.
  • Physical Ability :

  • For roles requiring physical demonstrations, ability to perform relevant technical or physical tasks.
