Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Generation

Overview
As part of our Global Delivery Center (GDC), you’ll be at the heart of delivering high-impact energy and power projects across the globe. We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of large-scale transmission connected combined cycle power plants to support our power generation practice. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside global design team members to produce detailed design documents and perform construction phase engineering services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead
- Develop equipment specifications for equipment such as substations, switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, induction and synchronous motors, load center unit substations, etc.
- Develop key SLDs, protection philosophy, detailed SLDs, wiring diagram and schematic diagrams
- Develop equipment specifications for LV equipment such as transformer, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, induction and synchronous motors, load center unit substations, etc.
- Produce installation details and layout drawings for motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, panel layouts and grounding, lighting, power plans under minimal supervision
- Develop design criteria and scope of work
- Develop staffing plans based on deliverables and schedule
- Provide checking and QA / QC services
- Review and approve all electrical deliverables
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering disciplineMinimum 14 years' experience in electrical engineering design with at least 4 years of experience in the electrical engineering design of simple cycle and / or combined cycle gas turbine generation projectsStrong communication and technical writing skillsExperience in concept design, FEED up to detailed engineering designLead Engineer experienceProficient in Revit or 2D AutoCADOther Highly Regarded Qualifications
