System Engineer (Cloud)

Overview

System Engineer (Cloud) at FNZ in Kuala Lumpur. The role leads the deployment and management of mission-critical application infrastructure within AWS. Focus on resilience, security, and scalability of cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Collaborate with development teams to facilitate deployments and provide architectural documentation, addressing client security inquiries with expertise. Responsibilities

To support highly available, secure and scalable applications and infrastructure on cloud compute and storage platforms. Manage deployments into client environments and identify opportunities to lower cost and risk. Establish and maintain monitoring (CloudWatch logs and events). Work closely with development teams to support application builds, continuous integration, and deployments. Work with AWS technical resources on best practices. Migrate applications on Linux and Windows VMs into AWS. Manage AWS licensing and billing including provision of service breakdowns. Qualifications

At least 5 years’ experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer in a similar role Relevant qualifications / certifications in AWS Experience with core AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, ELB, EBS, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, AWS clients) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS-based cloud solution Strong concepts of security best practices including optimization of architecture and infrastructure Demonstrate technical knowledge and communications skills Ability to work effectively independently in addition to contributing as a team member Able to work A / H, shifts and on-call according to rostering (attractive allowances offered) Desirable : Experience with Windows / Linux / DBA; basic networking principles; experience with Development Pipelines and deployments (Infrastructure as Code) – Terraform scripting or similar Experience with Kubernetes containers About FNZ
