Staff Engineer (Process & Equipment)

Overview

Job Title : PROCESS & EQUIPMENT ENGINEER- BACKEND / LABELING ENGINEERING Responsibilities

Develop or maintain a plan to meet engineering KPI and high standard of operation. Formulate programs to simplify backend processes and automate operations to improve operation / HPU and achieve cost savings. Establish labeling processes and tester / equipment capacity / productivity models for integrated automation. Maintain label testers and vision inspection machines, including maintenance, software upgrades or development as needed. Ensure control, equipment maintenance, setup, safety, PCP are carried out to meet product specifications. Lead a group of AE / techs / MS to support projects and daily tasks, and support on-time delivery, reduce scrap and rework. Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership, development, and training as required. Job Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Computer Science 1 to 3 years\' experience in manufacturing process and ability to manage process enhancements via automation. Good computer literacy, data mining and software development with C# and VB.NET knowledge is an advantage. Knowledge in motion control, IO control, robotics and machine vision is preferable. Strong analytical skills to resolve job-related problems and implement timely corrective actions. Originates and develops sound ideas for process and technical improvements. Job Responsibilities

Establish, implement and drive actions to improve process yield and maintenance uptime to meet engineering KPI. Responsible for backend process, maintenance, debugging, machine troubleshooting and software documentation. Conduct gage repeatability & reliability studies, correlation studies and actions to improve capabilities and UPH of automated assembly or inspection equipment. Generate reaction plans or pre-emptive solutions for out-of-control situations to ensure operations are not affected. Assist manufacturing personnel in operator training, qualification, and improving operator utilization / productivity as well as backend equipment maintenance, spare parts and automation software. Perform other duties as directed by supervisor to ensure proper execution. Ensure compliance with Safety, ESD, ISO, Cleanroom and housekeeping guidelines. Continuous improvement on machine yield, capability, productivity to achieve cost savings. Culture Commitment
