Senior System Engineer

The Senior System Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimising the company’s enterprise system infrastructure. This includes managing physical and cloud servers, enterprise applications, IT service management systems, and end-user computing tools, while ensuring system efficiency, security, and high availability to support business operations.

Infrastructure Management Design, implement, and maintain a high-quality, high-availability enterprise system infrastructure. Develop and manage server backup, restoration, and disaster recovery plans. Proactively monitor systems for performance, availability, and bottlenecks, implementing improvements where required.

System Administration Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Manage patching for Windows, macOS, and servers to ensure all systems are secure and up to date. Implement and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for enterprise systems.

Automation & Optimisation Develop and maintain custom scripts to streamline processes and reduce manual intervention. Drive infrastructure improvements using ITIL and Agile methodologies.

Support & Collaboration Work with vendors, business leaders, and IT teams to resolve issues and translate business needs into IT solutions. Provide advanced technical support, managing incidents and requests to ensure timely resolution. Manage communications related to system upgrades, new technologies, and process changes impacting stakeholders.

Application & Cloud Management Administer Azure AD, Google Workspace, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and other enterprise systems. Manage IT service management platforms (e.g., ManageEngine, Jira) for operational efficiency.

Security & Compliance Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to implement and enforce security measures aligned with company policy.

Maintenance & On-Call Duties Perform scheduled maintenance, software upgrades, and patching. Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours and weekend issue resolution. (Apply now at #J-18808-Ljbffr
