We are a data processor
for card networks including Visa, Mastercard, Alipay and MyDebit, a
merchant acquirer registered with Bank Negara, as well as an
approved non-bank e-money issuer. We have domestic (MDEC) and
international (ISO) accreditations. We’re also Malaysia’s first
e-wallet to integrate with MyDigital ID, as well as the first
company to go live for providing LHDN e-invoicing
solutions.

We’re looking for a
talented, bright and independent individual to join our legal team.
Candidates from private practice or in-house background are welcome
to apply. While sound legal knowledge is expected, the
differentiating factor would be your acumen in balancing commercial
pressure, business needs and risks. In simple terms, we need
someone with
judgment.

About the job in
summary : Contract
review and lifecycle management for all software delivery models
e.g. SaaS, licensing, project implementation, maintenance
etc.
Negotiating with banks or blue chip
counterparties.
Research and strategic advice
on all business verticals including but not limited to new product
lines, government awards, AI and data
analytics.
Help the DPO on privacy
matters
Horizon scanning for future regulatory
developments
Manage and instruct external
counsels, be it dispute, BAU transactional or project
work.

General
Requirements
LLB,
and CLP is an added advantage
A combination of
private practice and in-house is ideal
4 to 7
years prior working experience.
Strong
organizational and time management skills to manage multiple
competing interests and overlapping
priorities
Independent, resourceful,
commercially aware and diplomatic
Strong
foundation in contract law, and ideally, familiar with technology,
privacy, banking, FinReg regulation or
businesses.
Self-starter who can own their own
portfolio and
mistakes.
