Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager, Public Relations to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and assisting in strategic planning and implementation of stakeholder engagements in regions to effectively shift the narrative for the organization’s brand. To work closely with Head of Global PR in creating, adopting, cascading, coordinating, and implementing PR initiatives, as well as crisis mitigation across multiple regions.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Manage external public relations agencies to ensure effective delivery of PR content, materials, and services.
- Track and monitor regional media coverage, and define next steps to adjust initiatives in response to emerging trends.
- Support strategic planning and implementation of Government Relations initiatives, including crisis mitigation and management.
- Collaborate closely with various departments, such as Marketing, Operations, and Sports Sponsorship, to implement projects aimed at building, enhancing, or protecting the brand.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets across Southeast Asia.
- Assist in managing the PR and online reputation aspects during potential crisis incidents.
- Collate and analyze media coverage to ensure alignment with the needs of different markets.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree in public relations, journalism, marketing communications or other-related fieldsExcellent level of spoken and written EnglishTravelling may be required from time to timeAbility to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks and projects whilst maintaining an attention to detail at all timeInitiative and strong sense of ownership and responsibility is vitalLeadership abilities and exceptional organizational skillsAbility to work unsupervised, as well as part of a teamWorking experience in the network marketing industry will be an advantageMin 5 years in PR Consultancy and / or Corp. Communications. Added years of experience in other relevant fields such as broad corporate communications, journalism, event management, and consultancy skills are an added advantage. Languages such as Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, French, Arabic, Russian, are also an added advantageExposure to crisis portfolios with reputation management skills, regional experience in Africa, Middle East, Central Asia regions are also an added advantageAdditional Information
