Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the finance and accounting team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial transactions.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards (IFRS / MFRS / GAAP).
- Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage annual audit processes and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and expansion plans.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with taxation laws, corporate governance standards, and other financial regulations.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems, processes, and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with business leaders to support strategic initiatives, cost management, and performance improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent) preferred.Proven experience (8+ years) in finance, accounting, or auditing, with at least 3 years in a managerial or controller role.Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory frameworks.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Proficiency in financial systems / ERP (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Seniority level
