Join our successful Operations Team in AT&S Malaysia in Kulim.

Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating all production activities, ensuring that materials, equipment, and personnel are available when needed to meet production schedules.
Uphold quality standards, implementing quality control measures and ensuring products meet or exceed specifications.
Identify and address production issues such as equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or quality problems to minimize disruptions.
Lead and manage production teams, motivating employees, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment.
Develop and implement production plans and schedules based on customer orders and inventory levels.
Allocate labor, materials, and equipment effectively to optimize production efficiency.
Inspect products at various stages of production, implement quality improvement initiatives, and address non-conformities.
Train, supervise, and evaluate production workers, ensuring they follow safety and quality procedures.
Ensure regular maintenance of production equipment, coordinate repairs, and report equipment issues. Escalate equipment needs to the respective team and obtain help as required.
Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels, and communicate with the purchasing and logistics teams.
Collect and analyse production data, prepare reports on production performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Follow superior’s decisions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Communicate and align arrangements with peers on other shifts.
Drive for the implementation of 5S and safety standards to ensure a clean and tidy shopfloor environment.
Monitor progression of production lots according to the schedule.
Anticipate and take action on events / situations that could adversely affect production efficiencies.
Ensure training for all shift staff is systematic and well prepared, enabling effective learning of defined rules and task completion.
Drive for operational development and participate in operation forums and leadership activities (area meetings).
Focus on successor development.

Your profile

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Material Science or equivalent

Minimum 8 years of supervisory experience in Semiconductor, PCB or Substrate fabrication, Wafer fabrication, Assembly and Test engineering, Maintenance or Production Operations (clean room environment)

Knowledge of quality tools : 8D, SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP, JMP software, Six Sigma process tools

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; results-oriented and able to work under pressure

Good interpersonal and communication skills
