Responsibilities
- Quickly assimilate designs and knowledge of the current project(s).
- Complete tasks assigned within the current project at a professional level.
- Maintain documentation of design decisions.
- Collaborate across teams to create engaging game content that aligns with the overall vision.
- Coordinate with artist, engineers, production, QA, and other team members to ensure integration of design elements into the game.
- Respond to feedback and use an iterative approach when designing.
- Work with the player in mind and push the mentality of "What would the player enjoy".
- Drive self to continue to learn and remain current on the latest industry trends.
- Aspire to create designs that have systems and sub‑systems working together to create a holistic solution greater than the sum of its parts.
- Develop and design systems and features.
- Assist in all design balancing and tuning of gameplay.
- Create development models (spreadsheet models) to track design.
- Plan progression of the game and iterate based on feedback and data.
Qualifications
3‑6 years’ experience in the games industry.Has worked on at least two commercial projects.Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.In-depth knowledge of various game systems and the motivations and mechanics that govern them.Strong understanding of players’ behaviors.Firm handle on writing design documentation concisely and to the full extent required for design execution.Seniority Level
