Commercial Account Executive – Bristol Area / South West (Home Based)

This is a home based role with a full office set up provided, which includes home internet, laptop, mobile, generous car allowance and expenses. Our client is a very successful independent insurance brokerage with a strong reputation, built up over many years. The MD is a tremendous leader; a very patient and fair individual, down to earth and not driven by ego. As an Account Executive within this business, you will be fully supported in growing your client portfolio by a team of brokers, admin support, claims and underwriters based at head office. You will have access to all markets, composites, Lloyds and specialist schemes on various trades, some of which you will have “the pen” and be able to make underwriting decisions independently at point of sale. Although you will be expected to a certain extent to generate your own new business activity, they do have arrangements with numerous introducers, providing high quality exclusive leads on a national basis. Ideal applicants could be experienced account executives looking for more freedom and autonomy, or experienced commercial brokers or handlers looking to step up into a full client facing AE position. A good all round knowledge of most classes of commercial insurance would be ideal + previous use of Acturis (although system training can be provided). Uniquely, this role comes with a flexible remuneration arrangement. You may wish to stick with a basic salary or you may prefer to have your income tied to your portfolio size and growth (hence creating significantly higher personal earnings).
