Overview

The key responsibilities & requirements of Dietitian in the Medical department are listed below.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nutrition counselling & education for various nutrition-related medical conditions for patients and caregivers.
  • Provide nutrition support for patients who cannot achieve their daily nutrition requirements.
  • Provide education & support to healthcare professionals (nephrologist, physician, nurse) on therapeutic diets required by patients.
  • Contribute towards continuous professional developments & research programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Nutrition & Dietetics / Dietetics recognized by Malaysian Dietitian Association (MDA).
  • Strong knowledge and skills in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
  • Good command in Malay & English Language both spoken & written. Knowledge of other languages / dialects is an added advantage.
  • Possess own transport, valid driving license & flexibility to travel to any NKF Dialysis Centre.
  • Preferably 3 years’ experience in related field. However, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Able to work independently while maintaining a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC) or Malaysian Dietitian Association (MDA) is an added advantage.
