About the Job
To support the Customer Due Diligence activities in order to comply with the AML / CFT regulations and service level agreements.
Responsibilities
- Perform customer due diligence activities including clearing of screening matches and carrying out enhanced due diligence on high‑risk customers in accordance to the internal processes / procedures and target turnaround time.
- Perform enhanced due diligence of high‑risk customers including customer risk assessment in accordance to the internal processes and procedures on timely manner and to ensure proper documentation of work performed and retention of such documentation.
- Liaise with various business and functional units for information gathering to ensure customer due diligence activities are completed properly and accurately.
- Ensure quality review and closure of Watch List Management (WLM) Customer Due Diligence (CDD) alerts and cases.
- Perform peer quality check / review on activities carried out by other analysts as and when required by the supervisors.
- Escalate positive matches of high‑risk customers and any other matters when AML / CFT activities are suspected to the supervisors.
- Carry out tasks as instructed by the supervisors and / or Head of Compliance.
- Familiarise yourself to all the relevant internal policies, process and procedures; and maintain awareness of industry trends on AML / CFT / TFS and globally in order to carry out the job function properly.
- Assist in the development and testing of new / enhanced AML / CFT systems if any.
- Keep private and confidential and do not disclose any customer and company information obtained or dealt with when carrying out the CDD tasks.
- Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
- Highlights any potential concerns / risk and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Degree in Financial / Business / Accounting studies (Other areas of studies will also be considered)1-2 years working experience (Fresh graduate will also be considered)Key skills :Good analytical skills
