Business Development Engineer

As a Business Development Engineer at True Eco Sdn Bhd , you will play a key role in driving the company’s growth in the fields of wastewater treatment, odour control, and renewable energy solutions . This position requires a technically capable and commercially minded individual who can identify new opportunities, build strong partnerships, and translate customer needs into innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

What you’ll be doing

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with True Eco’s strategic direction in environmental and renewable energy engineering .

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and industry partners.

Prepare and deliver professional technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and tenders.

Collaborate closely with the engineering team to formulate customized solutions that meet project and client requirements.

Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, client needs, and competitor activities.

Contribute to the company’s business growth strategy and help expand its project portfolio regionally.

Provide regular updates and performance reports on business development progress and opportunities.

Report directly to Director / Senior Management

What we’re looking for

Preferably degree in Mechanical / Environment / Chemical Engineering or a related field

Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business are also encouraged to apply, with the ability to quickly pick up engineering and technology-related knowledge

Minimum 3 years of experience in a business development or sales role within the engineering industry

This role requires strong analytical and numerical ability. Strong academic background, with at least an A grade in Additional Mathematics (SPM, UEC or STPM) and an A grade in Statistics (university subject or STPM). No specific requirements are imposed on language subject results.

Proven track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities

Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering principles and applications

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proactive, adaptable, and customer-focused approach to problem-solving

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently to achieve results
