Our client is a fast-growing Managed Service Provider delivering modern cloud-first solutions to mid-market organisations nationwide. They support clients across industries including finance, healthcare, professional services, and manufacturing.

The company is scaling rapidly and is seeking a hands-on technology leader to drive its cloud strategy, service delivery, and operational excellence while continuing to innovate and expand its Microsoft cloud offerings.

About the Role

The Chief Information Officer will define and execute the company’s technology roadmap, focusing on secure, scalable cloud solutions for mid-market clients.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee internal IT strategy, client-facing cloud solution delivery, and the development of new services within Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and modern workplace technologies.

This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced CIO or senior technology executive with a strong background in cloud transformation within MSPs or technology service providers.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute a cloud-first technology strategy tailored to Malaysian mid-market clients

Align technology and cloud initiatives with the company’s growth and service delivery goals

Partner with sales and delivery teams to expand Microsoft cloud service offerings

Present cloud strategy, investments, and KPIs to the executive team and board

Cloud Solutions & Delivery

Oversee architecture and deployment of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and Defender solutions

Drive adoption of secure, compliant, and scalable cloud services aligned to Essential 8, ISO 27001, NIST

Guide technical teams to deliver hybrid cloud and modern workplace solutions efficiently

Champion DevOps, automation, and governance practices to optimise operations

Identify opportunities to launch new cloud-based managed services for Malaysian mid-market

Evaluate emerging Microsoft cloud capabilities and integrate into service offerings

Collaborate with product and marketing teams to position the company as a cloud leader

Governance & Operations

Ensure cloud security, risk management, and compliance internally and for clients

Manage vendor relationships, technology budgets, and operational KPIs

Oversee internal IT systems to support growth and workforce productivity

Leadership & Culture

Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across cloud engineering, support, and delivery

Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and client focus

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them realise cloud adoption value

Ideal Candidate

12+ years in IT leadership, with 3+ years as CIO, CTO, or Head of Cloud in MSPs or tech services

Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and hybrid cloud

Proven success leading cloud transformations and scalable solutions for mid-market organisations

Experience managing budgets, vendors, and operational KPIs in a growing MSP

Excellent stakeholder and client-facing communication skills

Commercial acumen and proven track record building profitable cloud-based services
