Role Summary
The Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for identifying, designing and implementing training and development programmes that align with the organisation's goals and the needs of employees. This role involves working closely with leadership and teams to enhance skills, foster professional growth and improve performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement training programmes tailored to organisational needs and goals, including in-person workshops, virtual sessions, e-learning modules, and other resources.
- Support employee development by setting career goals and providing guidance in leadership, technical skills, and soft skills.
- Manage learning management systems (LMS) and other digital platforms for delivering and tracking training progress.
- Collaborate with department managers and senior leadership to align training initiatives with business objectives and overall company strategy.
- Ensure all training programmes comply with company policies, industry regulations and best practices while staying updated with the latest trends and methodologies.
- Demonstrate flexibility by contributing to various aspects of the business when needed.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, education, psychology, or a related field. A master’s degree or certifications in learning and development is an advantage.Minimum 3 years of experience in learning and development or a similar role, with proven expertise in designing and facilitating training programmes.Ideally, experience in developing training materials and conducting training within a recruitment company.Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies.Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Analytical skills to interpret data and recommend improvements for training programmes.Seniority level
