About the Role
This is a management-level position responsible for leading a team of skilled marketing personnel and supporting the Head of Marketing to achieve strategic business objectives. You will be backed by robust R&D, quality assurance teams, and state-of-the-art facilities.
Key Responsibilities
1) Develop and manage customer and agent relationships in assigned local and international markets.
2) Formulate and implement effective sales channels and marketing strategies.
3) Drive business development of new products and lead new product development projects.
4) Regularly review and report on strategic and operational sales & marketing plans to boost revenue.
5) Gather and present market intelligence and competitor analysis.
6) Assist in annual budgeting and marketing planning.
7) Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meetings (including regional and international travel).
Requirements
1) A recognized degree in Business, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or a related field.
2) 5-7 years of regional experience in sales and marketing of specialty ingredients in industries such as pharmaceutical, personal care, food, or technical products.
3) Proven success in achieving sales targets and managing international sales channels.
4) Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and negotiation skills.
5) Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and making strategic recommendations.
6) Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional language skills are an added advantage.
7) Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
8) Willingness to travel as required.
