Key Account Manager, Mid-Market (Central) – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
We’re looking for a results-driven Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with key clients in selected industry in Malaysia. You’ll be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction, identifying upsell opportunities, and driving revenue growth through strategic account management. You are also required to onboard new customers / logos for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with telecom clients
- Understand client needs and tailor telecom solutions to meet business objectives
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profitability
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, technical, customer support) to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor account performance and proactively address issues or concerns
- Stay updated on telecom industry trends, products, and competitive landscape
- Identify growth opportunities within existing and new accounts and support new business development
- Prepare regular reports on account status, forecasts, and client feedback
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma or Higher Diploma, preferably Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related fieldProven experience in account management, preferably in telecommunications or tech-related industriesStrong understanding of telecom services (e.g., mobile, broadband, enterprise solutions) is an added advantageExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple accounts and prioritize effectivelyProficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office SuiteStrategic thinker with a customer-first mindsetStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience working with enterprise clients or government accountsPositive and energetic personalityWhat’s Next
