Tax Specialist

Job Purpose

Under guidance, performs routine tax transactional tasks and resolving a range of straight forward problems in the area of tax accounting, reporting, planning, audits, research and / or compliance to ensure actions are completed to appropriate service levels or defined procedures.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepares tax returns and supporting workpapers, estimated tax payments and various other tax compliance.
• Assists in preparing monthly tax provisions, transfer pricing documentation, SST bi-monthly returns.
• Supports company tax audits, responses to tax notices, and timely resolution of other tax controversy matters.
• Performs basic technical research to address tax issues, including planning opportunities.
• Provides other tax support, which may include analyses of pending legislation, preparation of required transfer pricing documentation and reporting, and implementation of legislative changes.

Education & Experience

Required

Degree or professional qualification in Accounting and 3 or more years of experience in corporate tax compliance and / or advisory.

Preferred

3 or more years of experience in corporate tax compliance and / or advisory and with deferred tax knowledge.
