Job Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager based in Malaysia. The role is focused on ground improvement works for data center projects, ensuring full project success from mobilization to completion. The Project Manager will lead site teams, manage resources, control costs, ensure compliance with QHSE standards, and maintain client satisfaction while protecting the client\'s interests.

Responsibilities

Project Preparation & Execution

  • Review technical and contractual requirements and issue the initial project budget.
  • Secure competitive pricing and conditions from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee timely mobilization and demobilization of teams and equipment.
  • Plan and organize all site resources to achieve project targets.
  • Define and update contract programs / schedules, ensuring productivity milestones are met.
  • Anticipate risks and implement mitigation measures.

Team & Client Management

  • Lead, guide, and support Engineers, Supervisors, Operators, and site crews.
  • Maintain strong communication and problem-solving with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Represent Menard\'s interests in all interactions.
  • Maintain accurate cost tracking throughout the project.
  • Provide monthly cost reporting and adjust strategies when needed.
  • Ensure invoices are issued and payments collected on time.
  • Alert BU Manager of potential risks or claims early.
  • Prepare, document, and follow up on contract and progress claims.
  • Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)

  • Ensure strict compliance with Menard and Vinci Construction QHSE standards.
  • Promote a “zero incident” culture and Stop Work authority on site.
  • Lead accident / incident investigations and issue reports.
  • Prepare and implement Quality Control procedures, including inspections and audits.
  • Raise and close out non-conformance reports in coordination with QHSE Manager.
  • Requirements

    Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in geotechnical techniques.
  • Proven experience managing contracts and projects from mobilization to finalization.
  • Track record of effective problem-solving with clients, suppliers, and regulators.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate multicultural teams.
  • Strong project management and strategic thinking.
  • Leadership, communication, and team facilitation skills.
  • Results-driven with analytical and organizational ability.
  • Commercial awareness and negotiation acumen.
  • Fluency in English (spoken & written), fluent in Chinese is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and take accountability.
  • Flexible, proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic mindset.
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills.
